Girls Camp 2009 Could We Have Had Any More Fun!

Thinking about girls camp and all the preperation that goes into it, could make anyone go crazy. Then when you add in 19 teenage girls and 7 adult leadersAlign Center then you know it is going to be a wild time. We as leaders wanted to make the 4 days at camp a time to remember, one that would be talked about for years to come.

Faith Dust and Pixie Dust We Know You've Got What It Takes.
We surrounded the theme this year to fairies and how each is unquie and different. Everything was fairies from the decorations, our song, candy and crafts. What a blast camp was, and that is all that I have talked about since I got home. I have decided that girls camp is a time in you life that you can let yourself go and have fun. You never worry about what the person next to you is thinking because they are being as strange and weird as you are.
Some of my most favorite memories of camp:
*Watching the girls interact with one another
*Singing in the rain
*Long talks around the camp fire
*Funny stories around the camp fire
*Staying up most of the night--not by our choice
*Learning our song and dancing around like fairies
*Learning to cook wonderful food in the dutch oven
*Learning so much about 27 wonderful people
*playing practical jokes on everyone--setting alarms at 3 in the morning
*Laughing so hard I peed my pants-- yes I said pee
*The most wonderful devotional in the world
*Enjoying the out doors

I remember camp growing up and I hope that I gave the girls memories that will last a life time. I hope that in years to come they will talk about thier days at girls campas wonderful memories. I think one of the best things about camp was to watch my own Daughter Talesha enjoy it so much. I watched as her testimony grew along with some wonderful friendships that will last forever.

Fathers Day A Bitter Sweet Day

Well Fathers Day has come and gone, and it tends to be a bitter sweet day for me. I think about all the wonderful men that have came into my life and helped me realize the kind of person that I want my own son to grow up to be like. Good thing I can see a combination of all three of them in him.

First the man that came into my life first my dad, Thomas Christian Fautin. When I think about my dad, I think about a man that is greater than a mountain, a man that is so compasionate, caring, smart, loving, and I could go on and on. I can't even say how much I miss him. At times I even get mad that he was taken away from me at such an early age. He had so much to offer but I have to have faith and trust that I will some day see him again.

The next man to come into my life is my sweetheart and eternal companion, Evan K Jensen. I feel in love with Evan right from the start. I saw qualities in him that reminded me of my father and I knew that would be a good thing. I feel in love with his outgoing personality, love for others, wiliness to help others and how he supported me in all my endeavors. I just pray that my girls will find a man just like their dad, one that will put them on a pedestal and worship the ground that they walk on.

The third man that came into my life was my wonderful father-in-law, Dean Allen Jensen. I am so grateful to him that he taught my husband to be the kind of man that he is. I watch the way that he treats my mother-in-law with so much love and respect. I watch them like my parents did doing everything together working as a team. I watch him still hold her hand, open the door for her, put his arm around her and always expressing his love.

I could have not asked for three better men to come into my life. Heavenly Father has blessed me so much. I hope and pray that my girls will find men just like their father and grandfathers and that Brennan will grow up to be just like them.

There comes a time in your life when you want to remember everything and you can't. You want to slow down the clock and it seems to just keep ticking. Many things have happened in my life, good and bad, and I wish that I had wrote down my thoughts so that someday when I am gone that my children will be able to look back upon and hopefully get some insight. There are many days I wish my parents were still alive so that I could go talk to them and get advice or hear their stories or just vent.
They say that you are never to young to start so the beginning lets say begins!! I am determined to start a blog about my family so that in years to come we will have the memories of the good and the bad in our lives.
OUR STORY IN A NUT SHELL
Evan and I have been married for 21 and 1/2 years. We are the proud parents of three talented, smart and gorgeous children. (I'm the mom I can brag). Brennan is 17 and is going to be a junior at West Jordan High School. He is involved in the school choir where he just mad the concert choir, meaning he gets to go on a really fun tour with them next year. He loves basketball being that he is 6'2" and anything to do with the Utah Jazz. He is an awesome student taking honors classes and getting fantastic grades. He is one of those boys that is just naturally sweet and good. I wish I could take some of the credit but he truly was born that way. Talesha is going to be 12 in July and has to be the most energetic adventurous creature in the world. (she will try anything once, well almost anything.) I tell her to call me when she is done skydiving not before and I will watch it on the video. She is going to start Young Women's this means camps, no more achievement days, new beginnings and a whole new world for her and me. Talesha is very talented she makes friends easily and has a bubbly personality. She loves to write stories, dance, be with friends, dance, cook, dance, anything athletic, and did I mention dance. Ashlyn just turned 8 in Feb. sharing a birthday with her grandma Karen, whom she misses a lot. She is the peace maker of the family. Ashlyn never gets mad and if she does forgiveness comes right after. Ashlyn was a special spirit that came at the right time in our lives. She has been such a joy to have. Ashlyn loves to play doll house, school, color, and dance. Both girls are on a competitive dance company (Revolution) that they love. They both have made great friends I think will last a lie time. Evan works at Associated Foods as a Produce buyer. We give him a hard time about the produce stuff but he sure knows his business. Many people around the country love and admire Evan for his talents and his personality. I own and operate my own preschool and have been doing this for 6 years now. It truly is a dream job, I can stay home with my kids, but also help with the bills. Evan and I both volunteer for the Festival of Trees, an organization that raises money for Primary Children's Hospital. We are active in our wards Evan being the Nursery Leader, and I am the Sunday School Secretary and Ward Assistant Camp Leader.
You could say we are the typical Utah, Mormon family, and if we are I love it.
Things you could say are goooood!!!!
