FISH LAKE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE IN THE WORLD.

Every year for the past 10 years our great friends the Dotson's have invited us to go to their family cabin at fish lake. Now I say their family cabin but if you ask our kids they will tell you that it is their cabin. (they know, no different). The week we stay their has to be the best week of the year. It is a time of family, friends, laughter, movies. playing games. painting rocks. swimming, sleeping in, staying in your pj's all day and so much more. The cabin is so relaxing a time that you can put the world behind you. The thing that I like most about the cabin is that it is such great family time. (oh yea and friend time) It is a time that we all let our hair down and go sill or crazy as it we are not already.
Now we say fish lake but I am yet to see fish come out of it I think that the name is a metaphor because there are not fish at fish lake. (or maybe they don't like what we are trying to feed them. There are lots of deer, chipmunks (which Meyer loves to chase), squirrels and muskrats. One thing we did not know that was there long ago was Woolly Mammoth's, so one day Jaxon, the cute little 5 year old that he is told us that he wanted to walk where the Mammoths walked. One day we stared off on our walk along the way we heard him yell "look mom its petrified Mammoth diarrhea. We laughed until our stomachs hurt.
You know that it is a good vacation, when you get home and you go into vacation depression, which I always do when we get home from Fish Lake. After a few days the depression goes away and we start to dream of nexst year.

SUMMER TIME

Summer time wild crazy and fun. When someone says Summer vacation, I say pack your bags lets go.. and go we did.
We decided to take a trip to Las Vegas and visit Uncle Dallas and Aunt Judy. Yes we went in the heat of the summer to a hot desert place but who cares they had a swimming pool. On Wednesday, July 8Th I left with the kids and away we went. Evan could not take off time so he flew in on Friday to meet up with us. Most of the time we spent in the swimming pool, relaxing and soaking up the sun. It is always so much fun visiting the family in Vegas. Uncle Dallas, reminds me so much of my dad not just his looks but also his mannerisms. I love to sit and talk to him he just has wisdom in what he has to say. He listens gives his advice then does not judge. Aunt Judy is always ready to spoil us in anyway. We always walk away feeling so loved. The thing I will remember the most about Aunt Judy is what an awsome cook she is. We always ask ourselves why go out to a buffet when we have our own personal chef right here. then it is fun playing with the cousins and laughing pondering good old memories and making new ones.
I think the funniest thing about our trip was that we were supposed to come home on Monday, Evan and I looked at each other and said why go home, lets stay till Wednesday. Then Wednesday came and we said why go home so we stayed till Thursday. We didn't want to wear out our welcome so we left on Thursday kicking and screaming but we left.
